Aeolian Skinner Opus 949 Pipe Organ |
|||||
This two manual organ was originally built by the Aeolian –Skinner Organ Company in 1936 for the Hillcrest Mausoleum in Dallas, TX. It was removed in the late 80’s for installation in a private home where it underwent electrical renovation removing the original Duo-Art player mechanism. Recently it was purchased for renovation and installation in a music conservatory in the northeast. The organ leathers have been inspected and replaced as necessary however the economic downturn has made this beautiful instrument once again available for acquisition. This historic instrument is offered at the bargain price in as-is condition, ready for customization as desired. The only modification from the original pipe specification is the replacement of the French Horn with an 8’ Oboe. The whereabouts of the original French Horn are unknown. Included with the purchase of the instrument are the original expression shades, pneumatic expression machine and several of the original relay stacks. It is set-up at our storage facility for viewing to interested parties. Any inquiries regarding scaling or voicing condition are welcome.
