St. William Catholic Church

R. A. Colby was contracted to carried out a comprehensive renovation and redesign of the organ at St. William’s Roman Catholic Church during the reconstruction of the building.  The entire instrument was removed from the sanctuary to allow for a complete visual and mechanical transformation.  Following completion of the construction, the organ was relocated with a complete Façade focused behind the Chancel.

A new console was designed to utilize newly carved architectural elements in a distinctive two-tone finish, complementing the church’s interior while reflecting Colby’s meticulous craftsmanship. Judicious digital additions were provided to allow additional support to the chancel choir located deep on one side of the transept. These were finished to blend and complement the completely revoiced instrument to provide versatility for both liturgical and concert use.
